The Teachers

Eddie Kantar is a professional bridge player, writer, teacher and member of the Bridge Hall of Fame. He won two World Championships and thirteen North American Championships. Eddie writes regularly for numerous bridge magazines around the world, and he has also written some 25 books. He has won the American Bridge Teacher’s Association award for Best Book of the Year four times.

Dennis Dawson won a World Championship bronze medal and a North American Championship, as well as over 200 regional events. To quote Eddie, “I have worked with Dennis on several bridge seminars and have watched him in action teaching classes. He is an excellent teacher – very clear with just the right amount of humor. I was very impressed and glad to be sharing the spotlight with him.”

How to Get There

The nearest major airport is LAX, approximate driving time is under 2 hours.
Santa Barbara Municipal Airport is another option.

Directions from Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA)
From the airport, head east from Fowler Road. Bear left at Fairview Avenue and proceed for one mile. Turn right via an entry ramp onto the US-101 South for 9.5 miles. Take Exit 96. Bear right at Milpas Street. Continue to drive down Milpas until it dead-ends at Cabrillo Boulevard. Turn left onto East Cabrillo Boulevard and continue for 0.2 miles. Hotel Mar Monte will be on your left. Make a left onto Corona del Mar. Make a right on Orilla del Mar.

Directions from the South
Take Highway 101 North to Santa Barbara. Take the Hot Springs/Coast Village Rd. exit (left lane). Turn left onto Cabrillo Boulevard and continue past the bird refuge. At the first traffic light, turn right on Ninos take an immediate left on Orilla del Mar.

Directions from the North
Take Highway 101 South to Santa Barbara. Take the Milpas Street Exit. Turn right and continue to drive down Milpas until it dead-ends at Cabrillo Boulevard. Turn left of East Cabrillo Boulevard and continue for 0.2 miles. Hotel Mar Monte will be on your left. Make a left onto Corona del Mar. Make a right on Orilla del Mar.
